Harry Kokkinis is back in the bakery business.

The former president and third-generation leader of Worcester-based Table Talk Pies, who stepped down as president in June 2023, has returned to the baking game with his purchase of Cohen’s United Baking, another Worcester-based food manufacturer.

Kokkinis purchased 75 East Worcester Road, a property off of Shrewsbury Street containing a 21,882-square-foot industrial building, to serve as the new home of the business currently located on Washburn Street. Kokkins bought the property for $2.61million on April 4 from Power Realty LLC of Newton, according to Worcester District Registry of Deeds records.

“I’m no longer associated with Table Talk, and I’m not the retiring type,” Kokkinis said. “Baking is in my blood. This opportunity came up, and it’s great.”

Table Talk was sold in June to Rise Bakery, the Minnesota-based owner of a number of food-related brands.

Established in 1964, Cohen’s is a wholesale Italian bakery focused on producing items like bread, buns, and frozen pizza dough for sandwich shops, pizza places, and other restaurants in Worcester County, Kokkinis said.

Kokkinis, winner of the 2020 WBJ Large Business Leader of the Year award, described his plans for Cohen as a modest operation; he said the facility will have around 10 employees when fully operational.

The sale of 75 East Worcester Road was facilitated by NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs of Worcester; Cody Miner and Jonah Glickman represented the seller, while Mike Jacobs and Tim Whittredge represented the buyer.

In addition to the bakery, the site will continue to contain warehouse space as well, according to a NAI Glickman press release on Tuesday. Kokkinis has rebranded the building as The Bread Factory.

“Kokkinis has been a herald in the local and regional food manufacturing industry,” Mike Jacobs, NAI Glickman principal, said in the press release. “We value his partnership and taking part in this latest venture which reflects a continued commitment to Worcester’s commercial and industrial landscape.”

The property was given a 2025 tax assessment value of $1.54 million, according to City of Worcester property records.
