The former Sunnyside Ford auto dealership in Holden, a property which dates back to the days of the Ford Model T, will continue to be used by the automotive industry after a $2.35 million sale.
The dealership, located at 944 Main St., was sold to an entity managed by Jeff Dion on Friday. Dion has been the owner of Gordy’s Automotive Repair & Tire Center since 2017, according to that business’ website.
Dion will now move that business from 513 Main St. down to the road to the former Sunnyside location, according to a Monday press release from NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs, the Worcester-based real estate firm which brokered the transaction.
The property was sold by Sunnyside Marketing & Sales Co., an entity managed by Daniel Harrington III, Sunnyside’s third-generation owner before the dealership closed in November 2024. Sunnyside originally opened for business in 1923.
The historic dealership property and other parcels associated with Sunnyside were put on the market in early 2025. The 22,802-square-foot building located at the site was built in 1965.
NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs Principal Michael C. Jacobs, while Vice President Tim Whittredge represented the buyer. Other parcels once used by Sunnyside which were included as part of the original listing are under contract with three separate buyers.
The parcel at 944 Main St. received a 2025 tax assessment value of $1.27 million, according to Town of Holden property records.
