Client situation

An 18,000 sf former furniture store needed to be retrofitted for use as a multi-tenanted building, with custom specifications for a fitness facility and national golf retailer.

Our response

We completed the project in two phases. The first phase included removing the front section of the building to facilitate additional parking and build a new entryway, new façade, and a 5,000 sf tenant fit up for a new 24-hour Anytime Fitness facility. This interior rebuild included brand new floor-to-ceiling tiled bathrooms with showers, a tanning room, aerobics room, offices and a large open workout area to accommodate numerous cardio and free weight stations.

The second phase involved a complete upgrade of the electrical service to the building, converting it from a single-phase 200 amp service to a three-phase 800 total service. In addition, NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs completed a custom tenant fit up totaling 10,000 sf for national golf retailer Golfers’ Warehouse, with golf simulators, putting green, restrooms, offices and a storage room.
